Barbers Hill High School Student Council shows The Adventures of Tom Sawyer at 1 15 p m Thursday in the high school auditorium. Admission is 15 cents, proceeds go to a crippled children's fund, open to the public.
Weather in Baytown remains warm with cloudy skies and temperatures in the 60s to 70s. Notable items include Charles McKay and daughter in Austin for inauguration events, Tad Patton and Thomas Speidel at Jones Hall for a La Mancha matinee, and Leora Creel hearing from her son George aboard the USS New in the Red Sea.
