Filing for GCCISD board opens January thirtieth
Goose Creek CISD announces a filing window from January 30 to March 1 for Trustees in single member Districts 1 2 4 and 5. Election day is May 11. Candidates must be registered voters and residents of their district for six months. Terms are four years. College to join Greater Houston Partnership

School board weighs remote audit talks and approves several actions
The board discussed a conference call with the college's auditor to save money. They accepted the resignation of Brian Nunez. Baytown to Close City Offices for MLK Day Observance
Baytown will close City Hall Municipal Court Parks and Recreation Public Works and Health Department on Monday January 21 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr Day. Sterling Municipal Library will close Sunday and Monday. Police and fire will remain on duty for emergencies. Residential garbage collection proceeds as scheduled. City offices reopen Tuesday January 22. Mont Belvieu offices operate as usual Monday. Chambers County admin offices close Monday resuming Tuesday.
