Capitalistic Profits Rise Under Soviet Reform
Soviet enterprises under the new economic reform system reported a 24 percent profit increase last year. Deputy Chairman S. Bachurin of the State Planning Agency told Trud that 700 reform-operating industrial enterprises exceeded production targets by 11 percent and boosted labor productivity by 8 percent, versus 5 percent elsewhere.
