Mrs. Tommy Eastman of 503 W Homan suffered first through third degree burns on her back Tuesday when her robe ignited from an open front heater. She was visiting relatives and taken to Gulf Coast Hospital where she is listed in good condition.

Wanda Brown repeats a director's instruction to Terry Bone. Gloria Scott seeks volunteers and Sandra Laughlin handles ticket delivery. Wanda Jones and Ruth Storck volunteer for a fund drive, Mrs Irving St. John delivers a photo, Margaret Wynnemer holds a baby for a signing, Betty Zim helps find an electricity plug. Jack Kim mons directs a caller to an updater, and chatter about Liberace looms. Granville Laughlin has acquired 17 percent of First National Bank of Baytown stock, giving him control alongside Alan Shepard Jr and Lee Brasfield. Shepard and McDavid previously co chaired. Brasfield remains president. Laughlin will join operations, share co chair duties, and move into the bank.

A three vehicle crash on Interstate 10 at the Moonmouth Overpass left Joseph Isaac of Jareau Louisiana in critical condition at Tidelands General Hospital with head and internal injuries. His wife Wilda, also hospitalized, sustained superficial and internal injuries. A 1966 Chevrolet driven by Joseph Paige from Auburn Heights Michigan and a Chemical Express truck from Dallas Houston were also involved. Paige were treated and released. Cowan uninjured. The wreck occurred about 2 39 p.m Tuesday in Houston bound lane. Paige car veered to the east bound shoulder, Isaac Buick slid down a 20 foot embankment.
San Antonio administrator William B Foster agreed to head Harris County Hospital District overseeing Ben Taub and Jeff Davis Hospitals. He will earn 27500 dollars annually, more than predecessor James Pears earned, and reports to work on March 11.
