Pilot lands safely after low flight strikes power line
Garland Rigas of S807 and Biggs witnessed Oscar Wanke of Houston crash a plane into water near Lake Houston Dam after hitting a power line two feet above the surface. Wanke, uninjured, was treated for abrasions, released, and driven to the airport. He said a friend was fishing below the dam and he planned to salvage the aircraft.
