Alaska Oil Equipment Unloading Aided By ARCO Causeway

Anchorage Alaska AP Construction says seven ocean going barges carrying oil equipment from Prudhoe Bay may be unloaded via a 5000 foot ARCO gravel causeway into the bay. Burglars Hit Schools Homes Cars In Baytown weekend

Over the weekend burglars hit two schools and several homes and cars in Baytown. Offices at Robert E Lee Elementary on Bayway were ransacked with doors kicked. some items missing from offices but not all. A 1976 Chevrolet stolen earlier was recovered, engines and parts stripped. Police reported valuables stolen from residences including silverware and a radio deck combo.
