Aggravated Robbery Filed In Case Here
Baytown police filed aggravated robbery charges against Robert Ciavardoni 28 of 340 Massey Tompkins No 14. He allegedly robbed a waitress at the Tin Hat Lounge 202 S Main after stealing her car about 0 30 p m Friday. Ciavardoni, on parole from the Texas Department of Corrections for a prior stolen car charge, forced the waitress to drive away with jumper cables. She escaped and returned inside, where an employee called police. Ciavardoni was later found near his mobile home and arrested. A bank bag with 414 in cash and checks was in the car. Bond was set at 40000.

Grass Fire Bursts Across Beker Road Area Triggers Fire Response
Firefighters and volunteers from Station 6 battled a large grass blaze on Beker Road near Chapanal Village Friday, with two and a half hours on scene. Earlier, Brethren from Stations 2 and 3 fought a car fire in a Tyree Hotel room on Minnesota, while steam from roof condensation at H. Salt Fish and Chips caused a brief call.

Progress reports show extensive piping and electrical work at the ethylene unit with 73 percent electrical completion and 165 miles of piping nearly finished.
