Fifth In A Series- Earnings Limit Raised
Bruce Biossat reports on changes to Social Security earnings limits affecting retirement benefits. The 1968 revision raises the retirement test from 1500 to 1680 dollars annually, with debates on higher limits and potential removal. An estimated 1.6 million elderly may benefit, while others working above thresholds kept partial or no benefits. Congress previously provided small lifts for continued work without heavy counting of monthly benefits.
