School Board Reviews Athletic Policy And Seating Plan Changes
The school board reviewed two athletic arrangements causing confusion, including a transfer loss of eligibility policy and seating for bands and drill teams at Memorial Stadium. Dan Stallworth did not propose changes, noting the district follows common practice with a one year loss for transfers under Interscholastic League rules for varsity football and basketball. Seating shifts aim to improve visiting team views, with anticipated improvements when Stallworth Stadium opens.

In Texas the proposed distribution of junior colleges will not block creating a district in Liberty, Chambers, and Hardin counties. Dr. Robert Clinton says regional lines are not tax districts and remain flexible, though Liberty County planners warn it could affect their nine-district plan.
