Tax Free Status Under Review in New Congress

American Women Curvier Than Old 1940 Model

The Agriculture Department reports modern young American women are taller and about as curvy as those in 1940. In a Boston area survey of 355 women ages 76 to 28, bust 33.39 in, waist 25.83 in, hips 36.04 in, thighs 20.83 in, versus 1940 bust 33.97, waist 26.62, hips 37.48, thighs 21.55. The study notes larger bust and hip proportions but smaller overall measures. The department says body proportions have changed significantly across 1 to 29 year olds and likely other ages.
