The Kiwanis Club of Baytown defeated the Baytown Rotary Club 14.5 to 12.5 at Goose Creek Country Club to even the series at one win apiece in the Ryder Cup style Partners Cup fundraiser for the Baytown Family YMCA. The event aims to raise over $6,000 with eight team matches and 16 singles. Kiwanis led 4.5 to 3.5 after team play and pulled ahead after singles, aided by three Kiwanis wins in shamble matches while Rotary won two and a half in scramble. Final points came from the Captain's Challenge for sponsorship money.
