Draftee L Q Arnold 803 Briarwood said he would pay parking ticket fines for Baytown area draftees whose cars were tagged Friday at the Houston induction station for physical examinations. Also notes lodge events and a funeral, plus a report of stolen tapes and a motorcycle race set for Sunday.

Linda Ferrell reports the Baytown Fair Association hosts the annual Youth Fair and Rodeo Parade on April 10 with events for all clubs and prize money in multiple categories. Houston Tex April general head of the Texas A and M System General Rudder remained in serious condition after a third major operation Friday. He had been admitted January 29 at Bryan hospital for stroke treatment and later had blood clot removed at Methodist Hospital. A bleeding ulcer was addressed at St Luke's Episcopal Hospital two days later.

By Wanda Orton four people injured in a head on collision near the Baytown La Porte tunnel at 10 35 p m. Drivers Robert Nathan Burns 52 and Mrs Anns Ruth Lewis 32 died in the crash. Burns sister Janice Burns 27 was passenger in his car. Lewis car carried Edith McDaniel Ricard 26 in critical condition and two others lightly hurt. Burns taught in Pasadena School District and his sister taught at Richey Elementary.
Outdoor Nature Club of Houston presents Audubon Wildlife film Island Treasure at 8 p.m. Monday in the Houston Builders Association auditorium at 2710 W Alabama. Dr Walter J Breckenridge director of the Minnesota Museum of Natural History, who made the film, will narrate.
Mr and Mrs W T Buschi s give 59000 to Cedar Bayou United Methodist Church to fund a new pipe organ. The gift accelerates a two year project as trustees prepare installation led by Mrs J D Giddings and Mrs Busch. Mrs Busch, known for church music involvement, has long been part of Cedar Bayou community leadership.
