M C Speedy Rushing, longtime Baytown junior high principal and former coach, was celebrated for twenty years of service. He arrived in 1936 to lead PE and coaching, guiding many players to prominence, and became principal in 1949 after John M. Stuart left district post. The Baytown PTA arranged a special dinner in his honor.

Funeral Services Held For Mrs Mary Jackson
