Pelican Junction toy drive boosts hundreds of children
Pelican Junction founder Rocky Strange started the toy drive to help local kids with donations growing to near 3,000 in past years. This year fewer families attended but organizers redistributed surplus toys to a local homeless shelter and provided hundreds of bicycles through the Crusin Texas Toy Drive. Community support from CVS Pharmacy Walgreens and volunteers kept the program local with plans to restart after Christmas, offering PayPal donations and a contact number for more information.
