Christmas tea and band honors at Robert E Lee High
The Robert E. Lee High School Student Council hosts a Christmas tea for teachers in the Homemaking Building. The National Honor Society decorated the school, placing a Christmas tree in the Student Commons. All-District Band selections for 1966-67 include many REL students across woodwinds, brass, and percussion, with auditions for All-Region set for January at the University of Houston. Junior Optimists and Keyeres clubs organize Christmas service projects at the nursing home and opportunities school, with plans for gifts, baskets, and a party. Santa Claus by Billy Littlefield and Rotary Anns activities round out the season, with a banquet featuring Carl Young as guest speaker on December 27 at the Country Club.
