McNair drainage project completed to ease floods

The Harris County Flood Control District finished a 1.3 million project to widen a concrete drainage ditch from Wade Road to Harlem Street and add a box culvert from Harlem Road to Harrison Road feeding Goose Creek. Heather Saucier noted no negative downstream impacts and Ramos Industries completed the work begun in March.

Prosecutor cites Cheek BAC over twice limit in crash

Ernest Cheek Jr. faced two counts of intoxication manslaughter after a Sunday I-10 crash near Sjolander Road that killed two Baytown residents and injured two others. His BAC was .20, prosecutors said, well above the .08 legal limit.
