WCCCC Members Gather for Christmas Charity Event
West Chambers County Chamber of Commerce members plan a Christmas season gathering to collect canned foods for needy families. The event is Tuesday, Dec. 13, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., led by president Missy Malechek, continuing the chamber’s history of charitable support such as donations to Barbers Hill Project Graduation 2010 for decorations and other programs.

FBI seeks Baytown bank robber Patrick Simmons on Christmas push
The FBI Bank Robbery Task Force seeks Patrick Wayne Simmons, 27, charged in an 18 count indictment linking him to eight Houston area bank robberies between 2007 and 2011. Simmons is wanted on federal charges. a $30,000 reward is offered by Crime Stoppers of Houston and Wells Fargo. He is believed to be at large after other suspects were arrested.

Lori Kaiser, 40, the Beach City children’s author, visited the Chambers County Public Library Anahuac branch for Toddler Time at 10:30 a.m. She read from her latest book Simon the Snake a Christmas story to at least 20 children, with several in her lap as she signed books. Kaiser has written 26 children’s books featuring alphabet based characters.
