Bruce Boyd, a 34 year old husband and father, died from injuries in a motorcycle crash on Highway 146. A Sunday benefit drawing 500 plus attendees turned an open house for merchants into a community outreach to aid his wife and family, organized by Resa Kogut and volunteers.
