Sixty three young men left Baytown Wednesday and Thursday for induction into the armed forces, the largest number sent by the Baytown Draft Board since the Korean War. Fifty: four more were sent for physicals, with 224 Baytown draftees undergoing medicals as a prep for induction from Selective Service Board No. 63. Inductees were headed to Fort Polk, Louisiana, as a welcome coffee and doughnuts event, hosted by the Baytown Chamber of Commerce and a devotional by Rev. E. A. Pendleton.
