Texas Eastern to start converting pipeline use
Washington Aug 20. Texas Eastern Transmission Corp must clear one more Federal Power Commission hurdle to convert part of its 1,186 mile Little Inch pipeline from natural gas to oil transport. The plan envisions a 362 mile Beaumont to Kosciusko line with new facilities across Texas and several states, cost reductions of about 1 million dollars, and a rehearing set for Sept. 14.

La Porte Approves 1956 Budget and Airport Line Plan
The La Porte city commission adopted a $161,300 budget for the current year and set next year’s tax rate at $1.75.
