Baytown Firefighters Seek 3.8 Percent Pay Boost in Budget Talks
Firefighters union president Mark Medrano says most Baytown firefighters would gain a 3.8 percent raise if city council approves. The raise follows collective bargaining approved by voters in 2001, with negotiations ongoing as the council weighs a 3.8 percent offer against a 2.5 percent city budget projection. The 2007 contract will expand union input to wages and working conditions.
