Tame inflation boosts stocks
Wall Street rallied after tame July inflation data and lower crude prices. The Dow jumped 96.86 to 11,327.12, a three month high, while the S&P 500 gained 9.85 to 1,295.43 and the Nasdaq rose 34.53 to 2,149.54. Core CPI rose 0.2 percent, easing inflation pressures and suggesting Fed rate cuts could come.
