Norman Xorell Revives Waistline Emphasis in 1967 Collection
New York AP notes Norman Norell returns to a waistline focus with revised classic designs. The fall winter lineup features jackets coats and dresses cinched at the waist with stitched or patent leather belts, midriffs shown, velvet and brocade gowns, and gleaming sequin gowns. The look avoids feathers frills and dramatic theatrics, appealing to show business figures among Norell’s adherents.
