Hollywood Talent Scout Turned Penmaker Presides at Lindy Opera House
Hollywood ap feature profiles Sidney Linden a CBS staff singer turned pen magnet and impresario of the Lindy Opera House at Wilshire and Labrea. Once a promising baritone Linden now runs Lindy Pen Co generating 12 million yearly while promoting auditions to showcase overlooked talent beyond youth. He converted a Wilshire theater into a musical venue spending 160000 and tolerating deficits while urging producers to consider singers in their 30s and 40s for serious careers.
