Harris County outlined a 9 million dollar Bay Area road program at the Ree Hall opening in Clear Lake Park. Phase one Red Bluff Road frontage and boulevard work near Fairmont, Spencer Highway, and Bay Area Boulevard progress, with 20 percent on the second lane. Phase two proposes divided lanes from NASA Road One to Red Bluff and north to Pasadena, plus Bay Area Boulevard work from Gulf Freeway to Highway 3 and an interchange. Rights of way for East Belt Drive are under way. the project totals about 3.386 million and includes an overpass at Red Bluff Road. plans are complete and funds expected later this year.
