Fame and Fortune Waits for TV Commercial Girls
AP writer Norman Goldstelts profile notes television ads have evolved into artistic mini films. Swedish beauty Gunilla Knutson rises as a notable example, joining other actresses like Barbara Feldon and Pamela Austin who parlayed commercial success into TV fame and acting roles. Knutson, born Gunilla Maria Knutson in Ystad, Sweden, moved to New York after winning Miss Sweden and has since balanced commercials with modeling, citing endurance and adaptability as key assets.
