Clinton Gilliam dies after typhoid in Phippsburg
Clinton Gilliam, 22, son of Jer and Mrs Oscar Gilliam of West Point Phippsburg, died at home after a two week battle with typhoid fever. Burial will be at West Point. He leaves one brother Oscar Gilliam Jr and three sisters Susan Madeline and Lorana Gilliam. He had worked at Hyde Windlass Co Bath and lived in Phippsburg. The town reports sickness in many cases and a physician is badly needed.

It will haul heavy loads and help accelerate construction as crews grow despite influenza impacts.
