Mrs Ellis F Coombs aged 59 of West sath died yesterday after a long illness. A Bar Harbor native, she is survived by her husband, one son James G Tibbetts of this city, two brothers Charles M Kittredge of Lamoine and Edgar H Kittredge of Vancouver, and two sisters Miss Grace H Kittredge and Mrs Amanda Haslem of Vancouver BC.

Vacation and visits at Parker Head and Bath

Miss Lena Gurney and Miss Arletta Gurney of Bath spend a week at Parker Head with their grandmother Mrs bora Purington. Change in Route for Phippsborg Mail Service

Post Office Department ad announces a route change for Phippsborg with bid opening on January 21. River side residents will receive mail as before while the Center post office route turns toward Small Point via Ridley’s, cutting out the back road from Wintregance to Basin road except in summer. Independent reports Louise H. Adams of Five Islands picked butter cups on Tuesday November 26.

Found Dead Miller Aged 22 In Home Of Scanlon

Abbitt Miller aged 22 was found dead yesterday at the home of Bryan Scanlon on Commercial Street. Coroner Curtis viewed the remains and Miller’s mother Mrs Myra E Miller and two brothers survive. Miller was last seen alive Thursday night when Scanlon invited him indoors. Miller reportedly fell asleep near the stove and was later found on the floor by John Scanlon. Police and coroner investigations followed as witnesses described events and location.

Official figures reveal presidential electors by party

The governor and council announced the official vote for presidential electors from the November election. Roosevelt led the American party with 26,945 votes, Debs 2,541, Chafin 945. Democratic electors Leslie Boynton Melvin Frank John Sawyer Seth Gordon Edward Murray Edgar Hanson were named. Local dealers report strong Thanksgiving trade with high demand for turkeys and ample supply, while many patrons chose chickens geese and ducks.
