An all Maine potato milk wafer made its debut at a Mayflower Hotel At-Home hosted by Mrs Ralph O Brewster wife of Congressman Brewster. Dr L A Rogers of Patten Maine chief of the Dairy Research Laboratories in Washington developed the wafer with Dr H Webb of California. The wafer blends potatoes and skim milk with pepper and salt and is baked to a brown crisp. a public service patent protects the process allowing bakers to use it with Maine potatoes and U S milk. Guests included Mrs Warren R Austin wife of Senator Austin of Vermont and Mrs Edward F Dolly Gann president of the Women’s Republican Club of DC.
