Two Men Injured When Car Skids Into Pole in Woolwich
James Kaler and Edward J. Hogan Jr., apprentices at Bath Iron Works, were injured Thursday morning when the sedan carrying them skidded on a wet highway and struck a Central Maine Power pole, throwing Kaler through a door window and Hogan along the car. Driver Wesley Plummer escaped serious injury. he and the others were en route to a Pemaquid deer hunt. State Trooper Harry L. Thomson investigated and said brakes caused the skid. no charges were planned. The crash occurred about four miles east of the Carlton bridge near Reginald Stacy’s residence.
