Bath Memorial Hospital benefited from Hospital Donation Week starting October 20 as numerous individuals and groups donated towels, linens, groceries, baby supplies, and cash. The tally includes contributions from Mrs. William A. Hill, Hebrew Ladies Society, Center Street Primary School, North Primary School, and many others. In addition, the S. S. Exanthia cargo ship slid from Bath Iron Works into the Kennebec amid light crowds, with Mrs. James J. Brazil christening the bow with champagne.
