In Gardiner Municipal Court Recorder Ray S. Baker fined 19 year old Lewis Arsenault of Bath ten dollars plus three dollars and seventy cents costs for speeding. The case was continued to October 31 to allow payment. Arsenault clocked at 75 mph on Maine Avenue and admitted prior Bath traffic court conviction. Mr and Mrs David McKellar visited Portland on Wednesday.

Large attendance at annual supper of Winter Street Church parish
About 240 members attended the Winter Street Church parish supper in the vestry after the parish meeting. Officers for the coming year were elected including Mrs. Edward B. Smith to the Prudential committee and Arthur M. Bowker to replace J. Edward Drake. The church faces a $3,300 indebtedness and plans to pay it off with more than $500 pledged. Repairs and a deficit of about $276 were reported, with committees praising the church’s good condition.

The Bath second Junior Council of the American Red Cross met Thursday at Weeks Street school under Mrs. Wilmer I Voorhees.
