Fire destroys Robinhood home of Bath route mailman
Everett Stevens, longtime Bath Georgetown and Five Islands mail carrier, lost his Robinhood residence to a rapid fire on Monday morning. The blaze, of unknown origin, consumed the one and a half story house with Linwood Stevens, a brother, also perishing in the disaster. Firefighters arrived too late to save the building, which had no insurance, and the Stevens family, including Mrs Stevens and son Clayton, escaped with only the clothes on their backs. The community offers condolences as the family seeks shelter with relatives.
