Chief Sees Suspicion in Two Middle Street Fires

Bath Chief Charles E. Parks suspects possible incendiary origin for two fires on Middle street Tuesday night near 8:30. The Marr house at 928 Middle burned outside the ell, causing about 100 dollars in damage while a grass fire rear of 944 Middle threatened the Manson barn. The Elwell and Marr fires resemble a May 4 blaze at 877 Middle, prompting concerns of deliberate setting or extreme carelessness.
