Bath alarm over bad check turns into town chase
A Bath incident began when a man passed a bad check at a grocer, fleeing with a resident from Bath. The pursued man threatened to shoot and ripped the check, which fragments later surfaced. A Brunswick shoe-store owner also reported a man with similar description presenting a $31 check. Earlier, a turkey theft incident led to a police-led turkey hunt. one man, Herbert Ryan, was jailed for intoxication.
