Not to oppose Mrs Thurlow in Sagada Hoe county bid

Mrs Elva Curtis of Bowdein says she will not oppose Mrs Etta Thurlow of Bath in the latter s bid for reelection as State committeewoman from Sagada hoe county at the Republican State convention in Portland March 30 31 despite newspaper reports to the contrary. Whether her husband Cleveland P Curtis will be a candidate for state committeeman at this time is not known. He was considering it two years ago but then did not oppose Justus H Miller of Bath who was the unanimous choice. Miller is again a candidate for the post this year. Bath has 22 of the county s 46 delegates to the State convention, a hurdle for an outsider. The Bath group is likely solid behind Millers candidacy, though delegates will be uninstructed. Curtis might seek State Senator.
