Selwyn Towne of Bath Iron Works Corp. showed the pictures while Frank H. Reinoehl explained them to the firemen. The pictures depicted battleships cruisers destroyers and naval planes in action. The group voted to cooperate with Battery H to allow use of the association dining hall as a mess room in case of emergency and to forward plans to government agencies for feeding the Battery if needed.

Fire Damages Roof At Washington Street Residence
A Friday morning blaze started near a chimney and damaged the roof of the Washington Street residence at Blasland Lane. Mr and Mrs W Dayton Hill and Mrs Dennis D Clark occupy the home. Engine 4 responding to a still and box 23 at 7 55 brought two large pony chemicals from Four's truck and Engine 3 to control the fire. The blaze penetrated a six by six foot roof section in the upstairs area.
