Minstrel Show Delights Bath Audience at Elks Event
The Annual Elks Minstrel Show at Bath High School drew a capacity crowd Monday and Tuesday. A six piece orchestra under Edward L Gaudreau opened the program with a patriotic decked battleship set and the chorus in gowns and sailors outfits. Interlocutor Doc Farnsworth steered fast paced sketches while Eddie Arsenault teased with jokes and sang Chattanooga Choo Choo. Performers Miss Hazel Thom as and Galen Snow led breezy sketches with Bees in the Tulips and The Brown Jug. Dorses and Archine Hescack with Mrs Barham Pletis sang beautifully, Kathleen Huakkins on accordion backed two solos. Rena Ulmer sang Blues in the Night and was recalled for encores. The show closed with Dido Cutting and Madeline Oliver entertaining the Bath audience before intermission.
