Navy abandons plan to build houses at Lambert Park site
After several city and PHA meetings failed to reach agreement, the Navy and PHA pause plans to build homes at Lambert Park. A city demand for sidewalks with granite curbing was deemed unreasonable, and the Navy would keep sewer and water lines on private property if streets were not accepted. Officials say negotiations will continue and the matter may be revisited when weather improves.
