Havens Trio Concert Ends Winter Series in Brunswick
Alderman and Mrs. John Shaw attended the Havens trio concert in Brunswick on Tuesday, the final Winter season event under the Saturday club. The program delighted attendees, marking a successful season for the women’s organization. Frank H. Allen, formerly of the local candy trade, now from Leominster Mass, returned home after a brief Phoenix visit and chose not to pay rents for reopening here. Mr. and Mrs. Henry S. Butler returned to Montsweag farm Woolwich after six weeks in Virginia, where an apple orchard is being developed near Mrs. Butler’s Virginia homestead with plans to plant 200 trees this year, mainly winesaps and other early varieties.

Smocked Frock Popular for Young Misses This Season
White organdies remain fashionable for the very young, with the Faster frock expected in white or gandie as Easter delays. A dainty smocked neck frock for the Miss Under-Seven features pastel shades, embroidered front panel, and puff sleeves. A huge black Milan straw hat with long streamers provides a juvenile, versatile accessory.

To Take Bruises Out of Furniture
In moving furniture bruises or dents can be raised by wetting the area with warm water, placing folded brown paper over it, and applying a warm flat iron until moisture evaporates. Repeat if needed. For small bruises, soak with warm water and apply a red hot iron nearby while keeping the surface wet to remove the dent.
A Bostonian Debating Lineage and a Grand Pedigree
