Young heroine saves life of her brother at harbor
Virginia Gilmore ten-year-old daughter of Mr and Mrs Paul F Gilmore of Sebasco leapt into the harbor to rescue her eight-year-old brother Robert who had fallen from the rocks. Her mother Mrs Gilmore unable to swim urged the boy while Virginia swam to shore with him. The rescue led to an emotional night and local acclaim for Virginia as a heroine.
