Wesley Sorority Closes Session Plans Picnic and Anniversary

The Wesley M. E. church sorority held its final meeting of the season in the vestry with a six o’clock covered dish supper. President Bird A. Shellenbarger presided as the group voted to suspend meetings until September and named husbands to organize the annual picnic. They also appointed a committee to arrange the 25th anniversary observance in October. An at ease closing program featured games and songs with Walter Snipe and Delmar E. Bates providing music. At Biddeford High, last rank cards were replaced by mailed letters detailing each student’s exact standing across the year. Principal Albert O. Snow hopes the new letters give parents a clearer view of their children’s progress. Ruth S. Hodgdon, a Colby College sophomore, arrived to spend the summer with her parents in Woolwich.
