A Pontifical Mass of Requiem was sung at 10 30 a m in St Marys Roman Catholic church for the Rev Archie D Gillis who died suddenly Saturday evening at Damariscotta Mills where he was rector of St Patrick s church The Most Rev Daniel J Feeney Bishop of Portland celebrated with multiple priests assisting Rosary and Office of the Dead services preceded and followed the Mass with Knights of Columbus guarding the service.

Obituary of Joseph G Arsenault from Bath Hospital

Joseph G. Arsenault died Wednesday morning at Bath Memorial Hospital after a brief stay. Born February 2 1884 in Rogers New Brunswick he was the son of John and Veronica Arsenault. Surviving are his mother Marguerite of Rumford his daughter Josephine Bennett Bath two brothers and five sisters and numerous grandchildren. He worked as a buffer at Hyde Windlass Co. until retirement. Funeral 8 am Saturday at St Marys Church with rosary 8 pm Friday at Arthur F Mayo and Son Funeral Residence. Burial Oak Grove Family lot.

Widow of F M Chase former owner of Chase s Candy Store in Wiscasset she was born October 29 1878 in Wiscasset daughter of Knute and Fannie Rines. She was a charter member of Garrison Hill Chapter O E S.
