Barbara Curran elected president of Morse High School Dramatic Club at year end session. Officers named include Pauline Nicker son as vice president Ruth Murphy secretary and Amelise Bourque treasurer. Retiring officers listed and the long baseball game sighting is noted with only one living witness in Rockland.
Miss June McCall, valedictorian, wins a scholarship from the American Legion for 1930 at USC. She attended San Diego High School, earned national honors, and is daughter of Commander Roger F. McCall USN. The family resides in Bath while awaiting May graduation, with sisters Ellen and Jean in Duke and Bath respectively.
At 91 Albert Haggett recalls Bath in the old days when street lights were scarce and patrols changed beats nightly. He describes patrols winding clocks, dragging drunks off streets, and raiding liquor houses with prohibition officers.

The Samoset Steamboat Co. reelected George R. Yates as president Merrill A. Perkins as treasurer and retained directors. A small mail and passenger boat will run June 1 and the Virginia will resume its regular two trips daily on June 22 with weekday and Sunday schedules listed in daylight time.
The Beacon Street Memorial Day service featured a program with Prelude Agnus Dei Organ Offertory Chopin Choir Anthem God of Our Father and Lord's Prayer Chant. Organist James A. McLellan led the choir and orchestra in a formal liturgical sequence.
