Bath man killed in Lisbon auto crash Saturday
Alfred J. Nasson 28 of Bath died in an automobile fatality on Lisbon Ridge road when the car he is believed to have driven overturned pinning him and Paul Pinkham 28 of Bath underneath. Deputy reports indicate the vehicle left the left ditch then crossed to the right ditch before overturning. Nasson died of a broken neck with head injuries. He worked as a ship fitter at Bath Iron Works and was overseer of Dromore Grange. Surviving are his father, a brother Lewis V. Nasson of Bath and sister Mrs Arthur S Robertson of Auburn.

Seven Bowdoinham Pupils Hospitalized After Truck Crash
Seven Bowdoinham high school students were hospitalized after a truck overturned while returning from a Lisbon Falls baseball game. Six other Bowdoinham students were treated or observed, with injuries ranging from concussions to head injuries and lacerations. The driver Linwood Hackett was shaken but uninjured.

Man Rescues Son From Kennebec River Drowning
Merle Aldrickson a 30 year old Woolwich welder saved his son from drowning after the boy fell overboard at the old State Ferry slip. He administered artificial resuscitation for about 10 minutes before paramedics revived him at Memorial hospital in Bath.

War Time Buddy Guests Of Senator Sewall
Robert Browning of Natick Massachusetts and his wife spent the weekend at White Hall Washington Street as guests of Senator and Mrs. Sumner Sewall. Browning served in World War I with Squadron 96 and participated in a June 1918 bombing raid over Germany, was captured after fuel ran out, and remained in a German prison camp until Armistice. The reunion with Senator Sewall marked their first meeting since 1929.

Wallace Captures Large Halibut Off Maine Coast
Ernest Wallace of West Point hauled a 310 pound halibut off Small Point harbor marking likely the season s largest catch near Maine. The dressed weight exceeded 400 pounds with about one third lost to dressing. Wallace has enjoyed a string of halibut luck this spring including 36 catches, many over 200 pounds.
