Last week off Halfway Rock in Casco Bay the horse mackerel swarmed, bringing good income at three cents a pound. West Point fishermen led by Oscar Gilliam harpooned seven times with five landings, earning nearly $60. Ernest Wallace, Henry and Amos Wallace also had strong catches. Orrs Island crews were active with Joe Wallace as high liner. Catches were taken to Portland for market, with Friday showing poorer conditions after a strong Thursday.
