Community Center to Aid Servicemen in Bath
Editor the Independent: With the arrival of several destroyers at Bath Iron Works for lay up and hundreds more enlisted personnel, questions arise about the Community Center. The center serves Bath residents with free recreation for servicemen through the USO, funded by civilian charges to support the center. The influx adds burden, but it remains for residents as before, and we will welcome visiting servicemen for a limited period. H. O. Trowbridge, Chairman Operating Committee Bath Community Center.
