The Belfast and Camden steamers built at Bath Iron Works for Eastern Steamship Co were the first turbines on the coast. Sold to the Federal government at war outbreak, they became the Comet and the Arrow under Colonial Lines. A price dispute with the government prompts denials from Colonial Lines president.
