At Bath Country Club the Maine Women's Golf Association re elected its entire slate and invited Augusta Country Club to host the 1936 State tournament. The 1935 tourney is underway at Bath. Officers named include Dorothy Wiles of Augusta president and Florence Green of Waterville secretary treasurer. Next year’s State Journey set for early August with 10 weekly tournaments beginning Tuesday. banquet attendance was 22.

Guides Invited to Big Tourney at Maranacook
More than 2,500 guides from the United States and Canada are invited by Owen Harding of Bangor to the International Guides Tournament at the New England Rendezvous in Maranacook Maine from July 26 to August 4. The event offers 15,000 dollars in prizes for log rolling wood chopping canoeing and other woods sports and will crown international champions with certificates from the New England Governors.

Red fox follows Bath woman’s car near Blind Crossing

The Cos mopolitan club garden department showcased flower arrangements with first prize to Mrs Car Kennedy for white container of purple clematis. Now in New York City after an operation in May to save his sight, he sells postcard pictures of himself and his fight mementos. He drew attention on Front street as the boxer of 20 years ago who went blind in his left eye and later had his right eye restored by surgery. Langford fought Harry Wills Gunboat Smith Pred Patton among others who were seen as heavyweight title threats.
