A farewell tea hosted by Mr and Mrs Arthur Sewall 2d at 963 Washington Street Bath drew about 100 guests on Thursday from five to seven pm. They depart next week for San Francisco where he manages Todd Shipyards with plants in Los Angeles San Francisco and Seattle. Families attended with daughters Nancy Cynthia and Sally and son Harold. The event featured red and white flowers in a silver urn and refreshments in the dining room long a Sewall family gathering spot.

The 74 pound Boxer named Max Batherton returns to his owners Mrs Warehner S Jackson and son Richard of 141 Center Street after 22 months in the K 9 Corps. He arrived Saturday in Brunswick and was met by Dr T M Eames who examined him before re entering civilian life. He recalls friends and seems in good condition with a fuller, healthier frame since his return.

Bath Iron Works will host a Civilian Defense fire school on Sunday July 30 for Saga dahoe county fire departments and nearby Lincoln towns.
